Morské oko

The natural lake Morské oko is located in the deep beechwood of the Vihorlat.The lake came into existence by volcanic action.

The countryside around is almoust untouched by civilization. The amount of wild animals living inthe surrounding forests is a big attraction for hunters.The landscaspe provides the suitable consitions for walking, touring. The dam offers  a brilliant view  over the lake.

The lake is fed by 6 streams. It is located 618 m above sea level. The lake Morké oko is 750 m long and a maximum depth of water is 25-28 m.

You can see rock lobsters and rainbow trouts inthe lake. Sometimes are there some wild ducks but after short break they fly away.

Boating, swimming and fishing are prohibited in the lake.
